System Requirements
Recommended Hardware Specifications:
These recommendations are guidelines to ensure efficient and smooth operation of OPES in your environment. We strongly suggest that when purchasing new systems for your office that you meet or exceed these specifications. If you are unsure about anything in the document or if you have existing hardware and would like to confirm compatibility then please contact our support line at 1-866-817-0052 and ask one of our technical specialists.
*NOTE* The ideal workstation configuration will be 64bit; However, some 3rd party software products are not compliant with 64bit. NOTE – most vendors are 64bit compliant. Verify that any IOCs (Intra oral cameras), PAN, digital sensors and other corresponding software packages have 64bit drivers and are compliant.

*NOTE* Offices that have more than 20 computers should strongly consider a server that has 2 processors. You will also want to consider Enterprise grade hard drives in Servers spec'd for larger networks using a hardware RAID controller ie DELL PERC H830 and either SAS or SSD Enterprise drives for the OS partition and SAS or Enterprise SATA for the Data Partition. If using mechanical drives 10>15K rpm recommended. This is not a requirement for OPES but a recommendation. Check with your computer management staff for more information.
